I haven't ever played Thrash on bass so i wouldn't know.. But i'm guessing it would be difficult unless you have sonic fingers.

Yeah I can play moderately fast with fingers. Just not fast enough for thrash or bass solos. P.S. fretless basses are the best

I've managed to train myself to do a solo with my fingers, But i use a 6 string bass some times and solos on that can be harder

I use 4 strings preferably fretless and it is extremely hard to solo with fingers because I write the solo on guitar then play on bass.

But Bass is extremely easy comparing to guitar, When i first started playing bass i had it down in a few weeks while guitar took me a few months to learn every method and way to play.

Fingers + massive amounts of gain + distortion.. + a taste of reverb for that edge + definate compression = Mass Bass Effect!! + the rest of the band = what bass?? we have a bassist??
