Drum Programming

So I am aware that a few guys here have one man BM projects and I was wondering what Drum Vst do you use? I am looking for something to help aid in song writing and possibly even a demo if I think it's good enough. Right now I'm considering ezdrummer 2 or Superior Drummer it's going to be a Doom metal project so I was thinking the 70's style presets on those programs would be decent for that application but if you guys know of something better I'm all ears.

Nice, hopefully he will reply then. I thought there were a few other guys here to but I can't remember who specifically.

I'll make sure he gets back to you.

I think most of our community's musicians disappeared with the OSN. If the others still do it they don't talk about it much. My only experience with programmed drums so far is with FuneraryDescent's.

FuneraryDescent the metalthrone user is the guitarist and my dude. He's at work right now though.

I got a hold of him. He says:

"So for a good, reliable drum machine sound. Download guitar pro 5 or 6, and learn the ins and outs of their drum programming. Most of my beats and patterns are basic but I spice them up with random fills and such.

And if you're doing doom metal, less is more. The drums will create an atmosphere with each individual hit so too much will kill it"

Guitar pro has drum programming? Interesting...listening to Winds Of Dissonance it's pretty good I'm surprised those drums are fucking GP5! I would have never guessed it.
