I couldn't find a subject with Nightwish so i have a few words to say.

Everything about this band sucks i hate it and i always will.
This is the shame for finland.
Opera + Metal = Biggest Crap i know.
And yes, i hope you find it as much crap as i find it.

I would agree that there not the greatest band ever but, there not as horrible as you say they are. If they were Trash, would you like them more? Just asking.

See I actually like Nightwish a lot too. I know a lot of people that hate them for some of the reasons listed above, so it's definitely something that comes up. I don't really care if they're commercial or not either, I still enjoy the music. They play pretty good live and Tarja has an amazing voice, although it IS unique and hard to get used to. I still think they are worth a look, because I also know people who thought they'd hate them and ended up loving them, so *shrug*

I do neither. They're horribly overrated, but still there are some songs of theirs I enjoy very much, such as The Siren and Higher Than Hope. Now I only wonder how they are going to continue on without Tarja Turunen in their line-up (a vocalist who never was that special, just like the band itself wasn't either)

The band will continue, but im not so sure that the new singer (who ever it is) will be so effective - Tarja will be missed even if the last albums were bad, I'll remember the past releases that were just great.

I now own Oceanborn. And I must say, I'm not very impressed. Its way to opera-like. There's a few good songs on it, but its really not enjoyable.

Hmm, yes, well they are a rather Symphonic Power Metal band. Oceanborn isn't my favourite album of theirs. Mine is Wishmaster and Crownless is my favourite song off it. Do you like that album?

Tuomas Holopainen has written about 10-15 songs for the upcoming Nightwish album by now. The new vocalist has not been chosen yet, at least her name (her, I think it will be a she) has not been revealed yet. I have no idea about what Tarja Turunen is up to right now.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the album was going to be called "Twice".

I LOVE Ghost Love Score from Once, the song is amazing and the chorus is maybe the most beautiful piece of music I`ve EVER heard!!!

Yeah, definately. It often seems to make it's way on to their 'best of' albums too, which is good. I have a japan only best of album, which is a nice little compilation, and it even stands out on that.

I find them enjoyable, Tarja was great and sang better than a turtle, the new one sings like dead whale... My favourite song is "Over the Hills and Far Away"
