Bagpipes anyone?

I love the sound of Bagpipes. I found this band and I really enjoy some of thier music. I normally hate techno but how they use it with the pipes..awesome. Give it a listen. I really recommend the first song for your first listen.

Theres a skinhead band from Boston called the Dropkick Murphys that use badpipes. Seen them live eight times and me and my ex wife interviewed them for my old zine. Check them out!

When I say "skinhead" I so not mean Nazi skinhead. Skinheads like metal heads come in a lot of flavors. Nazi skinheads are just a better known faction thanks to Hollywood. Most skinheads are not racists.

The movie "The Dead Poet's Society" uses bagpipes tasteful in some scenes.

I really don't like bagpipes used in contemporary music because the instrument loses it's cultural significance. Especially in ridiculous contemporary country music.

They had bagpipes at that fairy ball I went to the other week. With a lute, an acoustic guitar, a flute and some pan pipes if I remember rightly. It was all New Age, classical and medieval style stuff; listening to it, I felt like I'd gone back in time by about 600 years. Not my usual thing, but fuck, I loved it, to the point where I might well try looking for some CDs of that kind of music.

Some of it is the product of denial. Most cultures will deny most things happen. There is a country that says that rape does not exist. So, in my opinion, intelligence is based on your educational system. I mean, americans do not have an excuse. We have schools everywhere.

I find their vocals a bit weak, but they're all right. I prefer Schandmaul in that genre...
