I see a lot of you mention this band so I guess you've all heard it...

what do you think about these 3 ladies from Greece who play black metal?


they're one of my fav bands... I was like "wow" when I figured they were all females (except their session drummer)... :D
it's really rare to find women in black metal :?

my fav albums is Sirens, with Sakis from Rotting Christ and Shagrath from Dimmu Borgir as guests on two songs...
other albums are also very good...

the mastermind of this band is obviousley Tristessa, who is now the only original member of the band...
she writes most of the music and lyrics (if not all) and she's an excellent musician...
she also looks great :mrgreen: :lol:

I have Doomed Dark Years.Its a great album, i love the atmosphere on that album.Its an added bonus that all the musicians are females!Is sirens better than DDY?

I like them, I find them to be really tallented and are most definatly one of the best black metal bands out there.

A really talented band...and yes it is an added bonus that they are women. Hell where I live its hard to even find a woman into metal, so a female black metal band thats good is just a friggin awesome thing.
I only have a few mp3's of them since it is so hard to get any of their albums but what I have is really good.

Heard them Awhile back! really liked what I heard, I need to go check em out Again. I know they used to be Full corpse paint but dont use it anymore.

I am 100% for women in black metal.

I think all great bands have their own soul, a flame that won't die, a big fire inside that is their own. In a perfect world they should play and play until they had nothing left to play,But for this Goddess it's the clash!!,yeah because it's composed by only a female,i've analize each of the members and i can say that's better to them to quit this style of music forever.In another way,Astarte is like a bat out of the hell.
