It's in the 70-80 degree (farenheit) range during the day this time of year in mid-michigan. The end of summer. Good weather for painting guitar bodies and necks, if the humidity isn't over 50-60%. Nights can get down into the 40 degree area.

Yeah, it does a bit. As soon as October came along, it was all of a sudden really hot at that time of the year. Especially after the long spell of quite cold weather. Then it became cold again pretty quickly. Then hot, now it's November and closer to summer and it's gotten colder again. Now it's mild, so in the middle :-S

In my opinion, snow sucks. Where I live, we get a whole crapload of it. It piles up and just gets in the way. When it gets all over my driveway I have to shovel it out and it takes hours and hours. If you drag snow into your house, it will melt, turn into water, and get all over the floor. Damn, I hate snow.

Now summer is coming to an end. It will be still hot though for another month or so after the end of February. But at the moment it's cooled down from having 40-45 degree days to 28-35 degree days, so it's a bit more bearable now. It's still always pretty sunny and not rainy and dry, so yeah. True, I didn't think of it in that way. I was thinking of USA as a nation and not a great power, but I somehow think it's a good think that you take responsibility and does what's necessary as a great power, because smaller countries may not have a chance to try alone, but are willing to ally. Kind of like the alliance between Denmark and USA.

I was thinking of USA as a nation and not a great power, but I somehow think it's a good think that you take responsibility and does what's necessary as a great power, because smaller countries may not have a chance to try alone, but are willing to ally. Kind of like the alliance between Denmark and USA.

Very true.... Did Denmark get invaded by the Germans in WWII or were they not effected?

[quote:72e6e8f2df="IronPriest"]Since we entered July it's been extremly hot! It was 98 degrees today with 90% humidity. Then everyday at 4:00 pm it rains for about an hour, then it's back to sunny hot and humid weather.

98 degrees? You can almost boil water then! ;) It've been very hot here too, of what we're used to.

Yeah I thought it didn't get much hotter than Florida...then I went to Doha, Qatar...that was horrible! It was about 130 degrees plus humidity!!! It was like Florida times ten!!! I was in Saudi Arabia too it got about 145 - 150 degrees everyday but it is a dry heat so it's not as bad.

Haha, well... I have no idea what Fahrenheit is in Celcius, but judging by your comparisons I can imagine it's pretty hot.

Sorry I don't know Celcius either...it's fucked up why are there different measurments anyways??? Why don't we all use the same? I guess that's just America just trying to be different.

Yeah, probably. Or else you just invented your own systems once, and haven't turned to the one all the others use, yet. Isn't USA the only ones to use feet too? I know inches are being used other places.

Yeah I think so...not sure anybody else uses it... I don't know why America is like that...probably just to piss everbody else off...seems like whatever we do pisses people off anyways.

I don't think so. But there's only one to blame. I have the feeling that USA don't want to be a part of the rest of the world.

We got invaded, but we had a very nice king at that time, that was really good at keeping the patriotic spirit. Together with a lot of members of resistance movements spread around the country, that sabotaged railroads and hid jews from the Germans, to make their stay a living hell.

When our king, Christian X, had his 72nd birthday during the war, Hitler sent him a long telegram congratulating him, and he probably expected some kind of comment or criticism, but he got nothing but a mere "My Thanks. King Christian", which obvoiusly pissed off Hitler.

I'm not sure what the exact definition is, but we still have a Royal Family, which we have had for over a thousand years. Our first official king, Gorm the Old, died in the year of 958. Though, we know there were some before him. Besides that, there are myths about kings, that might even have existed before them, but there are no evidence. Today we got a ministry though, but the Royal Family is still very respected.

Unfortunately immigrants are trying to ruin the peace of our country.

Haha, yeah. Actually it was Mohammad, a prophet, and not even a god. Yeah, they went pretty crazy, but we didn't give up. When they boycottet our products some Americans created a Buy Danish Campaign, which we really appreciated. So we kind of have a relationship, don't you think?

It's not that they make a big number of the population compared to Sweden. I believe the official percent of the population is about 2% but that's without all the illegals.

It's mainly their attitude that's the problem, because they really think they own the country. They want to look proud and are proud of their roots, but they actually fled from their country when it needed them the most. Pretty pathetic. They create gangs and beat up innocent people, rape girls, and rob banks. They're against the Danish culture, and doesn't want to integrate, and are being hostile towards Danes and call us stuff.

It pisses me off just thinking about it.

All the radical leftist don't really help on the situation, because they believe we all are equal and support them. The muslims don't really care about them, because they're still Danish. It's sad to see how they're being exploited.

The Majority of our immigrants are Mexicans but in my opinion and from my experiences with them they are good people..they just want to work and make money so they can provide for their families.

I don't know, I think the Muslims are going to play a major role in the destruction of this planet, with the way they think and act. Hopefully they stop the violence in Denmark and kick the cocksuckers causing problems out.

I agree, I think Muslims are the biggest threat to mankind here on earth, Well, the Danish hate towards Muslims grows everyday, especially when the Mohammed crisis was at it's highest Muslims wasn't very popular in Denmark. The second or third most popular political party is a right-wing nationalistic party.

The problem is, if we start kicking out people, the leftists beging to accuse the government for being racist, and we are already known for having strong immigration rules, if we would take it further I bet we would be accused for being against human rights.

Sounds like the same problem here with the Mexicans...I don't think they should get kicked out but I think they need to enter the country legally.

Why don't they enter legally?

Because the process of getting a work permit or any other legal way of crossing the boarder takes a long time...so many of them since our boarders aren't secure, just sneak over...basically their logic is why sit and wait for who knows how long when they can just sneak across...

It's a big issue now, there was protests in the streets across the country by the Mexicans. They were demanding the right to stay...which I don't totally disagree with but lots of them were demanding citizenship too...I don't agree with that you don't just give that away because you've lived here for years illegally...My Mom was not a citizen but she took all her classes and past a test after living here several years and became a citizen...it should be the same for everybody else as well.

Not bad actually. It's a bright night again so it kind of sucks if I ever want to get sleep. It's three in the morning and it looks more like it's three in the afternoon. The only difference is that there isn't anyone anywhere, the streets are empty and people are sleeping. If you're hanging out somewhere around the city central area right now, it will look just like the opening scene in Vanilla Sky.

It seems the sun is going to rise within the next hour or so. It just went down about two or three hours ago...

The snow that looked like it was here to stay, melted away a few weeks ago and no new snow has fallen since. Could you believe it, it's December in one of the most northern countries in the world and a winter here just turned into an autumn again. It's going to be a dark Christmas this year.

Graveheart

I can't wait it when a shitload of tourists from all over the world comes rushing into the northlands because it gets too hot to live in their own countries in the south. It will turn into one big mess and no one will be happy about it.

Alfader
12-05-2006, 09:46 PM
Well, there's an easy solution to that; closing the borders. I'm not sure people will notice how hot it gets though, because the temperature increases so slow, people will get used to it.

A Danish astronomer recently discovered that the global temperature is affected by cosmic radiation, when the solar system travels through the galaxy arms of The Milky Way, and the cosmic enviroment changes. Of course, the release CO² has an influence too, but personally I don't think that we're the main influence on the global warming.

In a few decades we're out of oil anyway, and I doubt the temperature will rise to hostile hights at that time, so when we're out of oil it can't really get worse.

Finicella
02-07-2007, 06:20 PM
Well, okay, I also hate it when I wake up at 10 am and want to sleep and the sun is shining brightly... But I've got luck: I don't see much of the sun, I only can watch the sun going down from my window ;)

But I hate it when I can't go outside because it's so cold out there... And of course, I hate wearing trousers... I'd like to have summer all time so I can just wear skirts.. But in Winter and Fall it's too cold, unfortunately :(

Topic: Now it's very dark (8.19 pm in Germany). Still cold. ;) But it's not raining..

As I've always said: Snow and cold weather is only nice as long as you're inside. When having to go outside, I prefer mild weather by far.

I think there's something special about every season, but in general I prefer autumn and winter. I also like being outside when it's chilly.

Skirts are definitely a plus in the summer time. Not wearing them, though. ;)

mischmetall

I live on the Michigan - Canada border. My gf is Candian but I'm American and work in the states so my time is split between the two. Needless to say it's f*cking cold and snowing all the time right now. I like winter though. Black metal definitely sounds better when there's snow and it's cold out. Winer builds character.

Well you seem to do better for metal music over in Germany it has to be said. Maybe Bavaria is quieter or something...

The weather right now is just dull. We had a light snowfall a couple of weeks ago but not enough to call it 'grim'! Haha! But we did have a heavier one which was pretty cool. Snow is a lot more frquent than I remember it a couple of years back.

Oh well, maybe you would be more amazed here... sometimes we got snow in May :) . Not in the air though, it starts melting in March but often there is still some of it around in May, once even in early June. Then it starts to look more like sand than snow and it's not everywhere, only in shadowed places.

Well you seem to do better for metal music over in Germany it has to be said. Maybe Bavaria is quieter or something...

Really? Didn't recognize this ;)
Seriously: I know Angel Dust, Blind Guardian, Scorpions or Edguy as good German bands (surely forgot some, but I'm currently too lazy to think about it ;) )... But if I look closely to my playlist there aren't so many German bands... And - this has to be said - the greatest bands don't come from Germany. Such as Dream Theater or Iced Earth, who are from the US. So I'd doubt that Germany is really into Metal... (Besides: You should be here... You just see guys who wear baggy jeans and too big shirts or guys who dress normally and like everything they hear on the radio... but well ^^)
And I don't wanna hear anything against Bavaria, it's the best place of Germany :) (In my opinion)

@Graveheart: Snow in May? Holy sh... Then it could possibly be that there's snow on my birthday? Awww, that would be awful! =(
